Buddha Amitayus is a buddha of longevity and vitality. Amitayus embodies the wisdom and compassion of all the buddhas and is inseparable from Buddha Amitabha and Guru Padmasambhava. Among all the aspects of enlightened activity, the compassion of Buddha Amitayus brings forth prosperity and increase, rejuvenating our immune system and life-force as well as nurturing the causes and conditions for ever increasing spiritual qualities and realization.
Heart Instructions on Practice of Buddha Amitayus
The Dzogchen teachings are the highest and most direct teachings of the Buddha Shakyamuni on the nature of mind. They show us how to discover our own inner beauty and realize everlasting peace for ourselves and all beings. These simple and profound teachings impart the critical points and central supports for all practitioners to maintain to keep our practice fresh, alive, and beneficial for everyone.

Weekend activities will also include raising new prayer flags around all of Padma Samye Ling, as well as performing smoke offering ceremonies with Ven. Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal Rinpoche and the Padma Samye Ling Sangha.
